Do Not Wait Until December to Create Your Holiday Campaign Visuals

Holiday marketing gets crowded quickly
Businesses often wait until a promotion is ready before thinking about the photography and video needed to support it. By then, schedules are tight, products may not be available for a full shoot and the marketing team is forced to improvise.
Planning visual content before November creates more options.
Decide what the campaign is actually promoting
Is the goal gift sales, catering, holiday events, year-end services, membership, gift cards or a seasonal product?
That answer determines the imagery.
Capture the campaign in multiple formats
Plan horizontal photography for the website, vertical versions for social, clean product images for email and short video clips for ads or Reels.
A fast lens such as a 50mm f/1.8 can be useful for seasonal details and low-light environments when it fits the camera system, but the campaign concept matters more than the lens.
Leave room for text
Holiday campaigns often need dates, offers and calls to action placed over imagery. Capture compositions with negative space so designers are not forced to cover the product or subject.
Create evergreen material too
Not every image needs ornaments or holiday decorations. A mix of seasonal and evergreen assets lets the business continue using part of the production after the campaign ends.
Schedule the distribution while the content is being created
Production and posting work better when they are connected. If the campaign has specific launch dates, the deliverables and approvals can be planned backward from those dates.
If your Connecticut business has a holiday offer coming, October is a much better time to build the photo and video assets than the week the campaign is supposed to launch.
